    Hi guys
I'm new to the forum, and have recently got hold of a lovely '86 jetta in polar silver (read gold!) with a mint brown interior!
Have a few plans, so will post some pics once I've made it my own!
    Cheers

This is how I got it. The guy I got it from ( Duncan) has done a great job of keeping the jetta in great shape.
The mimms are cool, but I fancied a change.

Theme is 'back to the future'! ( no flux capacitor though!)
With a bit of help from retrowhore!
    Bit of an 80's/90's vibe
But it won't be too complex as its a daily
( my mk1 'rocco no where near done yet!)

Wheels refurbed, nothelle grill, and a 1.9 tdi (1z) and 5 speed (o2a) fitted
Been to a few shows and got a fairly good response
Now looking to just detail it a bit and drop the front a tad lower!

Hello mate, it's great to see the wiggle monster (a***WGL!) looking so good, I did love driving that car about as it was so smooth! Looks good on the compos are they 16"s ?
I was at ed38 on the Sunday with the jetta, but it was in amongst the German guys that won all the awards, so no one saw it!!!
If I can find a zender z1 grill with the 4 rectangular lights you can have the nothelle, though I do like the way it makes the jetta look like an rs2000!
Talking of grills I have a fairly mad looking taifun one for the passat
My email is vw.ian@brinternet.com, drop me a line and I'll send you the pics!
    Cheers mate

Hi bud sorry didnt know you replied to me on this thread.... yeah it is looking good such a clean car and love how smooth it is to drive, cant belive how smooth it is for such an old car, drove from bath to edition with no hitches at all!! the compos are 15" 7j and 8j rears, they were destined for my jetta but ended up on the passat for edition... shame we didnt see each other at edition wouldn't of minded have an ganders round the jetta. If i take it next year (hopefully il be in my jetta though! I might be able to blag my dad to bring it up on the sunday) could meet up and have a look around each other cars! the grill does make it look a bit like a rs2000 very different!! i looked up that passat grill, look mental!! how much you want for it?

Keep the pics of the jetta coming love it!
