welded in a rear arch at the weekend (first welding in 19 years! :o ) and tonight i go to re-connect the battery and the factory alarm arms itself and siren deafens me all within a couple of seconds, wouldnt respond to the remotes. ive had the battery out before and its never done this, nothing more than a chirp. but is there some kind of sequence to reconnecting it? doors open/shut? ign. on/off? im lost. the only time ive had anything close to this is when the last battery died a death and the alarm didnt like the low voltage. i'll check the battery condition in the morning, pitch black now, but if anyone could shed light in the meantime i'd be eternally grateful!

I had the same problem with mine, i pulled the alarm siren connector off and sat inside the car pushing the remote and pointing it around the car for half an hour before it turned off
