Renault is at Enstone, but just down from the airfield which Clarkson was eyeing up. There was a rallyschool there - Drive It All - and was also used for corporate stuff, but I think it's gone out of business and hence Clarkson pounced on the venue.
Here's the Enstone stuff: Clicky Fell over this on google: A major spectacular feature for "Top Gear" was recently filmed in strict secrecy at the Lido - featuring our very own Jeremy Clarkson. This event will be one for the record books and will probably make Chippy (Norton)Lido the most famous stunt location in the world after Niagara Falls. There's a strict embargo on all details until closer to the screening date later in June. The actual filming was witnessed by some gate crashing kids hanging over the fence but they don't seem to have talked about it yet around the town! Perhaps it was the bribe they were offered to keep quiet.
Et Voila! I'm feeling unusually generous tonight, so here goes. Needless to say, there are a few additions in my ..ahem.. private collection. There is one significant advantage that a mk1 Golf has over a Ferrari Enzo. A back seat. For further details I refer you to the Jeremy Clarkson DVD due for release in about 6 months time. Will she or won't she? Personally I think Mars Red has the edge over Ferrari Red. Wouldn't say no to 8.3 litres of V12 though. The man himself, and Jeremy Clarkson. Cheers, Drew. Edited by: drew
