Hi guys, I have been reading through a few older threads on here after deciding to nodiz my abf engined mk1 jetta :)

Now, I would like to use the OEM crank mounted trigger wheel and a vr sensor but have read that they may fail due to the 3 screws holding the trigger wheel. The advice was to use an aftermarket wheel mounted on the crank pulley. Does that mean that all the people who have done this then went I side the engine and removed the OEM trigger wheel? I would have thought it would fail at high revs whether being utilised or not...

The car will be used mainly for show weekends, summer driving and the odd thrash ;)

    Thanks for any advice.

    Marc

what sort of revs will you be building it to take? if factory or only a little over it should be fine, the failures seen on here have mostly been very rev-happy motors
