accident causes monthly payment raise mid contract

    can this happen? surely a contract is a contract until it ends then the premium goes up?

    i think they have to ask or tell you before they put it up
    read the small print
    mine only went up at renewal

    i`m with CIS, i have spoken to a few insurance company`s and they`ve told me they cant raise it until my year is up or they havent even heard of it before, So i have spoken to finance ombudsman and they seem to think i have a case,
    worse part about all this, i didnt even make a claim because it was a wing mirror and didnt cover my excess, its cost me 130 for the mirror and now an extra 500 on insurance

    That don't seem right. You contracted with them to insure you for a year at the price decided when you took the policy out.

    Especially if you're not claiming. As far as insurance is concerned, if you didn't claim it didn't happen.
