As per the title :) SLAM, SLAM, SLAM, acid house (& other acid influenced items) for your delectation -

A quality groove that builds

It was the late eighties acid that took me away from Hip Hop and rap. I remember listening to really early house music in 1986 and throughout 1987. I think it took me 2 years to adjust to such a rough and ready art form. My cross-over was complete in 1989 when I got hold of an early copy of Adamski's 'Live and Direct', that really cut the mustard for me  All of the stuff out of Detroit used to interest me, Juan Atkins (Model 500), Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson etc., ahhh those heady days  I was only about 15 lol.

Also got really heavily into Hip House in that cross-over period, Tyree Cooper, DJ Fast Eddie, Doug Lazy, Mr Lee, etc. that whole Chicago scene that was going on.

Still one of my favourites

Funny after 1991 how techno and acid started to merge then add in trance starting to emerge as a genre in 1992 and Goa trance start about 1993 and acid eminates throughout all of them :)

and a last item ... not acid but a true classic house track !

    Original version circa 1987

One of my favourite tracks of all time ..... (1994)

First heard this at an illegal rave in the south of France (when I lived there) at 7am after a great night of hard goa trance and techno. It was magical as the sun was just coming up over the horizon and farm land. It created a wave affect around the barn with the sound system, simply amazing.
