air con problem

on a vw sharan tdi! engineer has come to regass and there is a major leak.
compressor wont even come on.
anyone had this similar problem?
poxy garage i bought it from is refusing to fix it

 

Evaporators are prone to going on Sharans... may find the part is cheaper from Ford than VW
