I have recently bought a MK2 1990 Golf GTI 8V. It doesnt have any security on it so need something fast. I only paid 750 for it so dont want to spend too much.

I was orignally looking for a CAT 1 alarm + immob but been getting quotes between 300 - 400 for this so think I am going to go for CAT 2 immob instead which I have been quoted about 100 for this. I did want to get Central Locking fitted at the same time but quotes for this is 100-120 for my 3dr golf which I dont think is worth it.

Could anyone recommend anywhere is the Glasgow area for this.

    Help much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bryan

drivers do clifford alarms starting from 229, you can get a cat 1 Toad AI606 which includes central locking fitted for 250 all in thats not from drivers though.

Hannah autosound as well is worth a try which is just along the road from drivers.

I tried drivers and they wanted over 300 for the clifford CAT1. I will phone Hannah tomorrow but booked it in for a CAT2 Scorpian immob for 100 at Pro Sound on Great Western Road.

    Thanks

Woo hang on Betsy, if you want a good alarm properly fitted, look no further than Baz @ Bedrock in Motherwell. 01698 254 666, Baz fitted mine and made a superb job of it, give him a call and tell him I sent you!

Will give him a call in morning, I can always cancel Pro Sound if its a good deal.

Gave them a call, quite expensive compared to other quotes I have had but they were very helpfull and answered all my questions without trying to sell me something which is nice for a change.

Think I am gonna just stick with the CAT2 for the moment.
