Hi, just bought a Mk3 96 GTi and it came with its 2 keys and alarm fobs. On the fob, below the two buttons, it says CODEALARM, on the back it states that it's made in the USA and that it takes GP23A batteries. I didn't get any info about the alarm with all the paperwork & wondered if anyone had any details on what alarm this is and whether it had any 'hidden features' other than arming/disarming the alarm. My alarm in my old car allowed me to arm/disarm silently and also turn off the 'shake' alarm by using certain combinations of the buttons, but I cannot find any combination on this fob. Any info greatly appreciated
think code can do similar optianal trick like clifford. depends if any extras were done by installer.
