    Hi volks,
Anybody else have this problem with coming past the end of the tensioner on the alternator/water pump tensioner. It’s the correct belt at 9.5x950mm and seems in good nick but maybe it’s time to replace it after it’s stretched too much be be tensioned properly? Should I try a smaller belt? Thoughts always much appreciated. F6B33895-C18D-4E58-8D4D-0E1D03A63537.jpeg

Worn belt or worn pulleys. Try a new one, of that doesn't work, go for a 10 x 950, assuming 950 is definitely correct.

Doesn't that picture show the tension at the lowest end? the other end would be tighter?

Yeah, it says 9.5x950mm on ETKA so must be the right size and it’s defo that way to tension, i.e. backward and upward, if I go the other way, forward and down it loosens to the point I can get the belt off. I’ll try a new belt and see how that goes. Cheers guys.
