Just got back from AmD , Claire's had their Stage II conversion done on her R32 today.
Comprises a re-map and Miltek cat back exhaust - She had the noisier option of no centre silencer ( girlracer eh!)

They run the car on the rollers before and after so you get to see the gains from their work.

    Before figures were 241bhp @ 6122rpm and 229 lb/ft @ 3249rpm

    After261bhp @ 6660rpm and 248lb/ft @ 3046rpm

The figures aren't the be and end all though as the dynoplot shows that some flat spots in the power delivery have been ironed out. :)

The re-map raises the rev limit to 7200rpm so if need be you can now pull 60mph without an upchange to 3rd. [}:)]

I drove the car back to Worcester and the gains are very noticeable on the move, pulls very well and sounds like a wild banshee!

For some reason the car had lost power from the last time it was on AmD's rollers in the summer, was 251bhp stock on that day, but there you go, that's rolling roads for you.

Another weird thing.... when the exhaust is hot it expands about 15mm and the tailpipes stick out of the bumper instead of being flush as in the pic [:s]

    Vids to follow...

Hmmm so 251 before & on a hot day, yet 241 on a cooler day. Hmm & the day that you happen to be in for some re-map work, so the gain for your non inconsiderable financial outlay is 20 bhp not 10 bhp.........what do you mean im a cynic.....

As I said, the figures aren't the be and end all, are they? ;)

We all know that rolling road dynoplot results can easily be manipulated, you're not telling us ground breaking news here mr Lizard!

you mean the power curve isn't identical until 6+k, then suddenly blips up to the new figure?

A nice bit of punctuation there, Richgit( << this one!) . Now you can work on your capital letters and use of prepositions.

    Cheers,

    Drew.
