This time it's with the clutch mechanism I'm running an 02a box with abf flywheel,vr6 clutch and hydro conversion in my mk2 but I've noticed a fairly loud sqeeling noise when I put any pressure on my clutch pedal and I doesn't go away unless I remove my foot off the pedal I used all brand new parts except the flywheel What is thea noise and what's the cure ? I really hope the box doesn't have to come out again !
Release bearing. This is the only thing that's rotating and has pressure put on it when you engage the clutch. The flywheel has no reason to make a noise. There's also a transmission section for these types of questions, which you may find more people will look at rather that the above title. I never tend to come into the 20vt section as I don't have one, but I'm always in the transmission section
Thanks hot golf will the noise go with a bit of use ? It was a brand new bearing when I put it in Or will I have to remove the bearing for another one ?
