Any ideas bout my flat spot in the accelerator??

    Hi,
    I have just bought a polo gti and have a flat spot when i pull away i have tried changing plugs, air filter and fuel filter but still know change does anyone know what this might be i would be really gratefull if anyone had any ideas. Thanks Em[:D]

    Hello, welcome to CGTi. It could be the throttle body, the map sensor or a coil breaking down. Have you had it checked for any fault codes?

    Try the MAS sensor, worked on myMk3 GTi and also on my Passat TDi, huge flat spot from 2500 - 3000 revs, then no top end, used to sit at 92mph with the power coming in then fading away. Changed it and it was like a new car, similar things happening again.

    a polo with a flat spot...never!! as above, what year then we can look at things, could be a number of things, fuelling issues, mapping issues, let us know :thumbup:
