Slight follow on from something else / another VW related thread... Was looking for a cheapie Bosch distributor, of a certain type, to use as a guinea pig and / or parts. Found one that fitted the bill (but yet to arrive, so this is all subject to confirmation) and after looking into it a bit more it's possible it came from a 1981 - 1983 Ford Fiesta MK1 (GFBT) 1.6 XR2. If that turns out to be the case I don't want to be wrecking it if it's, dare I say it, rare. Have done the obigatory Googling but surprisingly little coming up, I'd have thought it'd be a popular classic these days? I'll stick up a few pics and confirm numbers, Fords have never been my thing and I'm maybe just looking for info. in the wrong places.
Thanks for looking, appreciated. It was the ignition distributor and it did indeed turn out to be from a MK1 XR2. Probably have someone come on now and say it's worth it's weight in gold, unfortunately I went ahead and took it apart so it's now in pieces!
