Not sure on exact spec, but it's probably a 1300 /1400? with an Otteinger (yes it's spelt wrong) 16v head, and 140+ bhp maybe more.. John?? < hands you over to our resident Polo expert >
Good evening everybody. Ok, what we have here is almost certainly a 1272cc bottom end from an early polo, with SLS (the company hosting the vid etc.) H-beam rods, probably a slimmed down G40 crank, and nice fasteners from someone like sorg. The 16v head is based on 6n polo stuff, with the single cam wheel and intermediate belt drive, but they're not a direct fit, hence various custom stuff. Then we're topped off with the usual throttle bodies / headwork etc... the 1272 8v race motors are good for 140 bhp at 8.5-9krpm, and the 16v versions really fly- anywhere from 160-190 bhp depending on the quality of the headwork/tuning.
