    I was thinking of one for a lease car but it depends on various factors... like if my boss will let my post have a lease car for one! :p

    :lol: Ditto!

    For 20k you could get a driveway full of earlier GTI's instead! Certainly enough for a MK1,MK2,MK3 and MK4 with change left over to modify them all [:$]
    :lol:

    supposedly a lightweight gti is coming out in 2006, supposed to be a 'proper' gti, might look at that, depending on which engine is in it and how much it costs, but still unlikely.

    Unlikely, going by VW's recent build quality. [8(]

    Better off with an Audi, IMO.

    Can't see it happening in Golf form, but VW don't do a Polo GTI at the moment.

    So 20vt Polo might be good fun. :)
    Would love to see a factory 20vt Lupo too [:D]

    Polo GTI will be out next year, probably with the 2.0 FSI (150bhp) engine fitted.

    IV = 4

    Surely you mean V???

    It was hinted that the R model would be an R36 as VW have developed a 3.6 litre version of the engine. I think the pictures everyone has seen will be of the replacement 4-Motion, no the R32 like Autoexpress think.

    Those pictures were just modified versions of the Mk5 GTI (in photoshop) by Autoexpress.
