Hang fire. I'm trying to find information on old Record Vices.
This is such an unusual design, and it does not have the Record name cast in, I am intrigued by it.

im thinking it should have record stamped /molded on the side

Have asked him if it has "Record" stamped/cast on it anywhere. I don't think it is a Record.

 

He's assured me it is a "Record" and that it has a genuine name plate on it. He does have a bigger one though so I might go for that instead.

 

Buy them both send me one. Will only cost about 50 to Eire!!

As in, if you can find a good one, at a decent price, then get it.
My Records at work take one hell of a beating. They outdate most of the staff (and probably the company!) but still function faultlessly.
