Are G60 arches wider just for snowchains?

G60s are lower at the front than 16v though, even though they use 16v springs....correct?

is this just because of shorter struts?

maybe I'm going slightly mad.....

anyway the effect on the wheel envelope is similar......

 

Struts are different, and there is more than one KR,PG spirng listed.

So who knows what combination was fitted in each circumstance


They are certainly not lower as i've got christ knows how many old passat/golf top mounts lying around

 

There is also added wieght in the G60 too remember, hesvier duty shell, subframe, charger etc etc - could give rise to a 10mm drop possibly.....
