Are MK5 Headlamps Glass or Plastic?

    Hi, the plastic headlamps on my Mk5 are starting to show signs of wear and tear. The actual external facia is Plastic.

    Are the Bi-Xenons still plastic or are they glass?

    I'm not sure about the Bi-zenon ones but the others can be buffed back to good condition.

    Okay Thanks. I'd prefer a no-maintenance solution but yeah, i'll give buffing a go if it turns out the xenon's are plastic as well.

    The lense is also plastic on bi xenons. You can buff them like 1990 has said but I would go over them with 1000 grit wet&addy and work my way up to 4000 as it can make them look I'm new:thumbup:
