Around the World trip

Has anybody been on an around the world trip and can give any advice on how to go about it. This is looking like an ideal time for me to do it, no mortgage, redundancy and there is loads of places I want to see.

 

I think [dont quote me on this] you can buy a ticket from BA which if valid for a specified number of months.

Thanks I will look into it. Had an look at www.travelbag.co.ukwhich was interesting but awkward to use
