The ones you'd need would be from Eurospec in the USA, AFAIK only distributed by them - the ones on Brooky's 020 clutch with have shorter unthreaded shanks.

The Eurospec 02A/J ones are unthreaded for a good 5mm.

The Reeves Mk1, which revs to about 8,700, in the past has thrown 2 unlightened 8kg flywheels clean off, with engine wrecking consequences (add the clutch and it's about 11/12kgs hanging off six bolts, and the inertia is massive). The Mk2, which has always run one lightened to about 5.5kgs (+clutch), but revs to 7,500, has never had a prob.

I'd imagine the revs on the TDI won't be a problem, but would recommend a lightened 5.5-6kg flywheel anyway, if a TDI will still run properly without a big anchor.

Eurospec Sport bolts have been ordered. They have sourced and had these made elsewhere to the same spec (180,000psi tensile), as ARP who are apparently on continual back order so they told me.

Price TBC but expect in the 40-50 region

Good bump Rob. Just as an observation, eurospec stuff is made in China, and me being the cynic that I am, would wait till genuine ARP items become available.

It would be interesting to hear of someone's using the Eurospec ones in a high stress application - for example, if they're working in the Badgerwagen, then they'll cope with a lot more than my car will put through them!

I bought mine from eurospec for my ibiza and they were clearly stamped arp on the head, and have been fitted for 5 yrs now. Are there non-arp versions about then?

I had mine from a company in Germany, did tell Badger Bill so will look through my messages on SCN. Didn't bother fitting them as Saxon provided me with an even lighter flywheel from the states which came with its own different bolts??

#Just looked, I did a clean up the other day & deleted the message :thumbd:
