    Can bulls run down-hill?

    If not: - Why not?

Since you've nicknamed it "The Workshop of Doom", I wouldn't have though so! [8(]

Yes, it passed 10 minutes ago didn't it?

I noticed you immediately spurned this theory in the other thread. [:s]

I've always understood this to be a statement of fact.
Giving it some thought, I would say that the bull's body structure isn't conducive to high downhill velocity. A large proportion of a bull's mass is concentrated forward of it's vetical center line, this coupled with it's relatively small front legs would make the bull topple forwards when attempting said activity.

This facial scrub is anything but gay - you could go and try it out, if you want a bit of fun! And take some pictures, to entertain us  No doubt TSC could supply you with some.

It is most useful when mixed with plasticizers and binders to create malleable plastic explosives.

They can run downhill, but not as fast as they can run uphill - for the above reasons. high CoG and small, weak front legs. So if being chased by a bull, find a hill and run down it as fast as you can.

The longer the better - a slow cure makes for better concrete/cement. It's not just drying remember, it's curing, a chemical reaction which can only take place in the presence of water. My old man flooded our new conservatory for this very reason and left it a week before draining - my mum nearly murdered him, but it never had any settlement cracks! And it was a huge conservatory, maybe 4000 square feet?

It's been a number of years since I sat in a lecture room and heard that sort of advice, but it does sound spot on. [:D]
I watched a program quite a while back, where they poured concrete into a former and chucked it into the ocean, came out perfectly. :)

    TSC - 4000 square feet? OOOoooo. :o

Aye, that was in the old house, with 5 of us living there, 18 rooms - it was great. 2 sets of french windows and a normal door, and french windows into the kitchen and living room as well.
Now my mum has a normal sized house, with a normal sized deck, just her living there and she loves it!
No real founds even necessary - the guy who had the house (she swapped houses with him) owned a petrol station, and had some bizarre resin/concrete/fibre mix down same as his forecourt, the fellas couldn't even cut it with a road saw so just chipped away what they could before laying blocks and giving a 5 year guarantee. It hasn't moved an inch!

I'd say you could pour a self levelling compound over it, latex for example. It's a durable surface, we've put some pretty heavy bits of kit on it over the years. I'm not sure if it's suitable for a domestic setting though, any thoughts anyone?

AFAIK latex-based self-levelling compound is only good as a base prior to some other finish (ie; paint or floor covering) not as a `finish`.

A friend has just had her kitchen floor done. I was cutting some wall-board to re-do the ceiling, and found the floor cut really easily when the Stanley blade slipped... [:$]

Wasn`t too fussed since it`s been covered by a cushioned lino covering.

At my work the concrete floor there has some super-expensive coloured resin coating. Extremely high traffic over the five years since the place was built, but you`d think it`d been painted yesterday.

I sold a pair of 15" tyres to a young lad today, he was 10 short so I accepted a pizza as part payment. He said he would hand it in later. He turned up with a 14" pizza with pepperoni and spicy chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn. I have eaten it all and now feel ill.
What can I do BF to make me feel better again?
Just to let you know how severe the situation is, I ate it 1 hour ago and now have gas that smells of the pizza! [xx(]

Am I going to die? :o

Two young gentlemen turned up today, in an untaxed, uninsured and unNCTed, HiAce pickup.

They asked if I wanted to sell some slates, or some scrap, or the cars, or even the caravan.

When I said I needed more slates, they asked what size. And when I told them the size, they responded that they had some, and they said for a 50 deposit, they would bring me as many as I wanted!

They also said that they had spare parts for the Audi, even though they had to ask me what kind of car it was.

When I told them I only had 10, they said that would do.

Should I give these young scallywags 10?

ps. They did not have a business card or a phone number.

    Well, yes, sorry.

It may be of no help now, but I have a fantastic solution if the situation occurs again. Simply send me the pizza, i'll dispose of it for you.
Take the sweetcorn off first though. [:|]
