A mate of mine has the V6 quattro one (B5 like that but a tiptronic one
and I dunno about the 'ring edition, not heard of it meself) it
seems to go very well indeed! we did a few miles in it during the snow
last winter and it seemd totally unstickable for traction and very
stable in slushy motorways that were stopping other people, sounds good
too. No idea of fuel consumption mind. My Pa has a 3.0 TDI quattro (B7)
and its un beatable from a standstill even with the VR6 Corrado, and
still returns over 40MPG. My next big spend on a car will be an A4
quattro of some kind...... (years and years away I'm sure)

I'm not sure of any buying tips, I guess there must be similarities
with the S cars and other quattros so you might find plenty of info on
more Audi based forums. Look for info on the wishbones as they can be
expensive to service at highish mileages and they do need it by all
    acounts.

yeah i think so to just trying to find out about the nurburgring edtion thing its also got it on the dash as well and as i said just going to put the jetex on it along with a induction kit and change the wheels and thats it although i found a place that do a chip for them an extra 27 bhp [:[] but cant see a chip doing that on a n/a engine so im not going to bother
