Hi, I have a 2011 Audi A4, I've just purchased the AMI cable for the HTC but I keep getting a message saying "Not Supported" come up on the computer when I plug it in.*
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
It's a genuine cable from Audi.
    Thanx

I have asked someone into high end Audis who could answer this.

Hope he contributes in later. Unless someone else knows.

Eddie persuaded me to log onto the forum for the first time in 5 years :o

Right, make sure AMI works first. Put a single, DRM free MP3 on a FAT32 formatted flash drive and see if that works. If that's a no go then you've eliminated the cable/drive.

If that still doesn't work you're either looking at a broken cable (they often get crushed in the glove box door) or a broken AMI port. People often pull the cable out rather than unclip it which breaks it.

AMI via USB will recognise anything that your PC sees as a USB mass storage device.

    Cheers Alex.

I hope we can call on you more for Audi type questions in the future!

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to help.
The cable is brand new today from Audi so I'd hope it's not a faulty cable!! I'll try the flash drive tomorrow and let you know how I get on :)

Actually you can use your USB flash drive to other systems as well.
