I have a Mk4 one in there at the minute but looking at swap that out for the Mk5 floor mounted one. Eddie says to match the engine, pedal and ECU from the same year of car. Something to do with the Mk5 being 40hz, bit above my knowledge level so I’m doing as advised.
yeah his was later audi a3 setup so mk5 type ecu, cant garauntee it'll work but he seemed to think it was
Yes, and BUB engine. I got the loom, ECU and pedal from the car to swap out for all Mk4 R32 stuff that’s on my car at the minute.
Mk7 GTI pedal for the win! (So, much conflicting information about). Mk7 GTI Pedal, VW part number : 5Q2 723 503 D Perfect, for all 3.2 VR6 conversions! Shout out to TT Spares / Boost Fabrications, for giving me the part number for this pedal. He also sells the required mk7 pedal adapter for a mk2 golf. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20353813...u960RVySq-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Hit him up!
There is a lot of conflicting information from lay folk who never studied why that is so. Your ECU is a ME7.1.1 CAN and only accepts a digital signal. Hence the reason you use a MQB pedal as it hangs like the original MK2 pedal.
