    Woo Hoo! Tyres!

Shipped from the USA to Australia in 5 days from tirerack.com

I would have bought local but Toyo don't bring this size into Australia.

Plan is to use these for wet and dry until I save up for a set of Hoosiers for dry use then these will be used for rain days.

With a bit of luck I'll have some wheels to put them on this weekend.

Cool its just that perspex is actually very dangerous to have as windows in the car.

Also if your using r888's as wets then you will need to cut the tyres further as standard they are shocking in wet wet conditions. But ok i damp light rain etc

Wheels are done. The powdercoat ended up a little darker than I thought it would, I'll do the next set in a lighter shade.

    Offset works out really well.

    Final measurement is 15" x 8" et0

Made up a bracket for the high pressure fuel filter. These hose fittings sure add up quick.

I've got another set to do yet, I might do those in gold.

I thought this silver would turn out a lot brighter.

Headers are back from ceramic coating and I've started wiring.

Rear lights, both fuel pumps and both side of the windscreen are wired back to where the switch panel will be.

Same as wiring up anything else really, just needs a switches, fuses, relays and appropriately thick wire between the screen elements and the battery.

No different to wiring up fog lights, in fact a pre-made driving light loom would probably be a cost effective solution.

I won't bother with any relays as I'll be using switches that can handle the high current.

    Slowy moving through the electricals.

I've chosen LS1 coils to run in a one coil per cylinder configuration.

The terminals accept stock VW leads.

Made up a loom to drive the coils.

Extended the wiper loom and finished off the install of the single wiper setup.

I've got the range of motion and central park position all working properly.

Mounted small white LED lights for use as rain lights in the bumper holes along with the tow hooks.

I'll get the tow eyes powder coated yellow.

This will be the control panel, it's currently under construction and will be painted something other than green.

It's an ammo box from an Army surplus store.

    Cool updates

Peter with the chuckerplate boxing up high in the passenger side will it cause any reflection/glare in the car or on the windscreen?
