The airbag light on my Audi A4 is on. Audi read the diagnostics and said L/H side airbag ignitor fault. My VAG 305 agrees and shows the same fault code, 01218 but will not go to the DELETE YES/NO screen to turn the light off. Audi did turn it off but it was back a few seconds later because the fault is still there. Why wont my reader access the DELETE screen. I would expect to press DELETE YES and then get FAIL. Any one else got one of these Autel code readers?
I have one and have no such issues Did you enter the menu correctlly and correct sequence? Connect lead, ignition on, scroll to airbags and entrer
Yes its all good until you reach the point where you press the scroll button for 3 seconds to bring up the delete screen and nothing happens
Hi, i had same problem with mine. You need to hold down the scroll button in the main menu - when the screen says 1. Engine 2. AT/T 3.SRS or 4.ABS - then comes up with the option to erase the codes for the section. Worked a treat for me once i sussed that out - clearer instructions would have helped a lot.
