    im loving the seats [:D] not sure on the rear end bit like a seat [8(] but then again i didnt like the mk4 but i love the r32

    Mk2 16v was listed at 15,995 in 1990. A few options on that took it close to 18k.

    19,995 for the Mk5 GTI is a starting price in line with inflation really.

    I think a test drive is in order. :p I'm almost excited. Like those seats, lots of homage to the mk1... as it should be.

    GTI badges are on the wrong side though. ;) First mod I would do on mine, unless that is just a left hand drive 'thing'.

    1300kg though... wow, that's a lot of metal. [:s]

    And what do they means by this....

    I wouldn't call a mk1 GTI explosive, they are pretty linear too. Perhaps they were thinking of a mk2 16v.

    1300kg is not bad for a modern car today, I'm sure the Mk4 was nearly 1500kg. You could probably strip the interior and get around 200kg off the weight.

    and you can almost pick up the top spec new scooby, the WR1 for that. or could get the wrx sti for that...and i'm sorry, but which is the better car?!
