Taking my Corrado off the road soon to sort a few bits and bobs, and I've been thinking... How hard is it to AWD a Corrado?? Has anyone on here done this?! Any advise would be great - I don't want to start something I can't finish! Cheers!
ther are four that i know of twin engine 20vt turbo 4WD (VRBanana) 16VT 4WD R32 4WD (PhatVR6) 20vt 4WD
The 20vt is Jason from Peterborough (forgot name) knocks about with James (Jabbasport MK2 20VT) Goes to 1/4 with us and ran a 10.71 1/4 at 10 of the best. The 16vt 4wd was at Performance VW Photo shoot 5 years ago with us there is a video of it on the PVW Website Videos next to mine !! lol no links sorry
The 4wd corrado from Peterborough is owned by Mark Gunns, he is good friends with one Mr Michael Truluck( Jabbasport) . The 4wd system is off S3 with modifications. he was in one of the vw mags back of last year (sorry cant remember whch one ) look out for him and hopefully for quicker times this year at Santa Pod!
Thats it Mark !! i'm shocking with names he was running high 11's then fitted the Nitrous kit and knocked a second off his times.
and there's ben's old shell, dunno what happened to that. and my mate coxy up north has one with my old R32 lump, 6 speed box, haldex.
Blimey, just checked out the thread on your project mate, looking very nice indeed! I think I'm slowly being inspired to have my Corrado off the road longer than expected...! Any huge problems along the way!?
So then... anyone got a spare Syncro boot kicking around in the shed? Phat, I couldn't see anywhere in the other thread any problems with getting the rear diff on - did the syncro one just bolt up?!
problems, not with the 4wd no, just the rest of the car! yes, once it's converted to a sycnro it'll all bolt in. tank, prop, rear axle, the lot.
I don't think the silly dialynx quattro was much quicker than that. Did it ever break 10's? i know it got close.
