I've got a frustratingly loud vibration coming from under my rear seat area. I though it was probably the heat sheild over the back box. I have secured both that one and the sheild over the cat. If anything it's now louder. Only happens between 2 and 3000 rpm.

    Drivin me nuts, any ideas??

I had this once and it was because the Inlet manifold was slightly loose and was vibrating.. It turned out that one of the bolts had worked its way out.. drove me nut for ages till I lent on it and it stopped.

I had this too. It was the tunnel heat sheild. You could feel the vertical piece below the rear seat vibrating as you drove.
The securing holes on the heatshield has disintegrated/enlarged. I fixed it with some beer can metal and pop rivets.
