where abouts was your MOT done?

im not sure on the limtation period for an offence like that. for offences such as SP50 speeding, where youre going to prosecuted regardless, the police have until 6 months after they have finished gathering evidence to start proceedings.

either way... im sure its 3 points per tyre

What milage has the car done since the MOT? Surely they should have been written up as advisory under the new MOT system on a yellow slip accompanying the MOT.

Long shot is that if you have done hardly any miles at all since the MOT (the mot cert will record milage at point of mot) there is evidence to suggest it was passed through the MOT when it shouldnt have been....

I would say you are probably up sh*t creek though tbh.

Strange it would pass an mot if the tyre was bald, maybe some comeback on the mot station?

Yeah i agree, this kid is dangerous and really shoud'nt be on the road. I cant explain how much of a nutta he is. Been pulled twice in one day and 4 times in one week- And the car searched for drugs, never used them though.

I have spoken to a police man about this bald tyre issue and he recons i have a good case......actually his the dad of the the nutta with 4points on his licience...

If its revealed the MoT station passed it with bald tyres, it won't help you. It might get the garage into trouble too, though.

Its simply not true. It won't help you even 1%. The driver is responsible for the condition of their car.

you are liable for your own tyres i was told by the police, the mot station will say they where fine and you cant prove they wernt really.

the police will ask why you did not check your tyres before your journey and whatever excuse you give it wont cut it at all, they aint interested tbh.[:x]

I can't see any other way it could work - otherwise garages would be liable for a whole lot of other motoring issues.
