I don't have the technical nouse to arrange something like this but I will commit to buy any well engineered solution that would be suitable for race purposes.

Are you going to weld those in? The SCCH ones are designed to be weld in only.
If not, you must get rid of the 90* corners, and machine radius bends, otherwise they'll fail there.

I would be interested in a set, but I'd like to know how long they would be, material used, etc. Are you able to make custom lengths?

    Nice work Adam
A thought would it not be easier and a lot stronger to use a large cap head 12.9 HT strength all the way top to bottom and then have a spacing sleeve around it ?
Then if you want to alter telemetry just shorten spacer or add shims with a new 2 cap head ?
You could even tap a thread into the upright for extra gripping force as well as the pin

Comments as it would save a large amount of the machining , all you'd need is a conical for the bottom and a pice of tube.

Personally, I'd be more comfortable with a weld to the hub in addition to the pinch.

I've ended up going for the SCCH kit with the TR flip kit. It's too important a part to have fail so wanted to go with a proven solution and reduce the chances.

The bolt and cone method is used on my 1/5 scale rc cars with spherical joints
The pin hole in the upright is 19 mm so you could use m20 cap heads and 20 mm I'd spherical bearings
There is no way a m20 cap head is ever going to fail ;)

Don't want to try on my 16v uprights yet but will see if it works on some 239 hubs later in the week  if photo bucket working I'll post some pics unless Adam does this first
As I think it's a very easy solution

A stainless steel Teflon lined spherical bearing is 18 on flee bay 20 mm I.D 42mm O.D 16mm thick

Or we go rod end bearing ?

They look like a good design
Don't like the lack of a castellated nut, but do like replaceable bearing, major weakness with the others
Bet they are metric, which ****es me off about that SCCH stuff

Well, they do have some interesting looking trinkets on their site! Might need to explore that a bit further.

As above, I like the idea of replaceable bearing, good idea. No idea on the quality though but it all looks well thought out on the face of it.
