depends on wich ball joints how long they have been in are they seized? i have a 20 ton hydraulic wich is realy to big as it can cause damage very easily in the wrong hands. personally i would let a garage or workshop press them out to be on the safe side.

Ball joints on the m3 wishbones. I recon I series of sockets would be ideal for pushing them out and in
