Hi all, I'm struggling to create a bench cable to simply read any codes stored in my ECU (06A 906 018 CG) (which I believe is the 3.8.3) paired with the Mk4 GTI 1.8T AGU engine. Any pointers would be much appreciated - want to make some progress on this before summer has been and gone again! Powering the ECU on Pin 1 & 3 and grounding on Pin2 with the OBD scanner taking power from the +12 and GND and linking the K-Line from Pin 19 on the ECU to pin 7 on the OBD. ECU Pin 1 : + 12V Pin 2 : GND Pin 3 : + 12V Pin 19 : K-Line (Connected to pin 7 on OBD) OBD Pin 16 :+ 12V Pin 7 : K-Line Pin 5 : GND Pin 4 : GND Am i missing something fundamental, slightly off or way off? OBD Scanner just cannot connect and times out. Thanks John
