I've got an oak green valver but have voted grey/silver coz i still think atlas grey is the best colour for a mk2!!
People always seem to miss this colour out and I must agree it's without a doubt the best colour a mk2 could be covered in. For other reasons I have however voted (Atlas) Grey for this poll
I like a lot of colours on a Mk2, grey & silver in particular. There are several shades of blue that really go well too, like monza blue. Sometimes I even quite like oak green, but dont tell anyone. For me though, it has to be shiny (if you can find it !) tornado red. Its as iconic as Porsche guards red and is the defining colour of the 1980's hot hatch. Its loud, brash and symbolises the excess of the period, when speed and performance werent dirty words, they were viable marketing tools. All you need is a pre '90 spec 16v in tornado red, some braces and you're ready to start trading those stocks and shares ... buy buy buy !

What does black-blue look like, any one got any pics? I like alot of the mk2 colours tbh. Tornado red, when its actually red. Dark colours like your greys and black, Royal blue, Jade green, Capri green and even white. Vw definately got it right with the colour specs. That Red mica pearl is amazing... Ive never seen that colour before. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to what colours are the most common/rare? How many where made in each colour, which ones where limited edition etc.
