I'm trying to move my trashed mk2 for the first time since the crash (around october time). Two of the wheels are stuck pretty solid, one front and one back. Any good methods of getting them unstuck??

Take it out of gear, and release the handbrake!

Some times the rear shoes sieze in the drums, usually a case of letting handbrake off and beating drum until it free's itself. As for the front, dunno whats going on there!

Thankyou for your first words of . . umm. . . wisdom? :p

Will try beating the drum with my hammer, sounds like fun even if it accomplishes nothing :)

Tie a big rope to it and drag it until it frees itself off.

we've towed a car while beating the wheels with hammers, sometimes they stick really well, that was drums though. Great fun

Beat it with a hammer as above ^ [:D]

Failing that either get some mates to push until it frees up or tow it until the brakes let go.

All done now, the cure - a hammer [:D]

Did consider just pulling it with my dads landrover, but I hate driving that thing, and our drive hasn't exactly got much room for mistakes :)

Not sure what was wrong with the front wheel, just kept beating it and eventually it moved.
