Best Mk 2 GTi?

    I'm looking for a Mk2 golf (having previously owned a williams clio and a mK3 Golf) I need one thats reliable and economical but handels well, outright performance can be compromised for benefits in fuel economy (must be a GTi still)

    I'm thinking 90 spec 8v - any views fore or against?

    i'd say go for a mk2 16v personally. will be alot more fun on those tight twisty B-roads! [:D]

    just go and drive both, there is hardly any difference in performance anyway.

    Mk2 8v's are ace... Wont be as much fun as the clio williams though.
