    I`m a war movie buff (prob due to me having a degree in history [:$] ), I have most on DVD.

    Das Boot (with subtitles)
    which gives a german slant as most war films are a bit bias to the point of propoganda and it is also about the life on a U-Boat and not about Nazis as the Germans are always portrayed as and which they clearly point out they aren`t.

    I have the Directors Cut DVD [:D] It was great as a TV series as well.

    I remember watching it when it was first on BBC2 :thumbup:

    The film is three hours long and I thought it would bore me but it turned out it wasn`t as long as it should be.
    It kind of missed a few bits I think that were in the tv series.
