Whilst tuning in a new TV downstairs, using our old NTL digital cable lead (we had NTL digital but got rid of it, we use the cable instead of an aerial and can pick up quite a few channels) I found a channel that seems to be someones PC monitor ...

Its running Windows 98 and has a few items on the desktop but due to the TV resolution I cant work out what they are.

From time to time someone does something and programs run, more often than its a program that looks like its monitoring wavelengths or frequencies ...

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is [:s]

    (now expecting 20 p*ss take replies [:D] )

Police would use specially allocated UHF frequencies for such links, surely...

I'd love to see a pic of it - but doubt you could do that! Unless you have a PC TV card - and could be bothered !

No chance of that. The image on the TV isnt that good due to the resolution.

Besides, whoever it is never does anything interesting anyway.

Its just a desktop usually. Sometimes its the frequency thing but thats about it.

I can definitely make out that its monitoring NTL though.

What was interesting was listening between 935MHz and 950MHz when mobile phones were analogue..
