    I like your mk 2!!

    As far as plans go:

I want smoked twin head lights but the 145 price tag is putting me off.
Smoked front fogs if I can find them.
Someone suggested tinting the glass but im not so sure about that. I dont want to go 2 far on mods.
Red calipers would set off the wheels I have now (any suggestions apart from paint)
The car needs lowering for looks but I'm worried it will ruin the ride. (rear shocks are in need of replacement).
The paint work is very good but I will be treating it to a clay wash and wax soon:)

As far as engine mods go:
It has a full SS exhaust and thats it!
ECU remap??? Would this be a wise investment?

I had it on my mates rolling road just 4 a laugh and to my supprise its showing 121.1 BHP!

Im open to all suggestions styling and engine so bring it on and I may treat the old girl.

Lowering it 20-40mm on GOOD shocks and springs will improve your handling and the ride will be fine. Stay away from cheap coilovers for anything except looks.

I assume it's a 2.0 8v, give it a bit tune up sort out any niggling bits in the engine. According to a good source, chips aren't massively worth while, check out what cams you can get for it at a good price, they always make an interesting bit of difference.

    Thanks for the tips Shaz8389.
Yes its a 2.0 8v. The engine feels great everytime apart from its a bit tappy but I hear thats in the engines nature. As far as a tune up goes what would be on the list? I was thinking induction but I dont want to be sucking in engine heat with a cone. Prehaps a drilled airbox and panel filter?
I have looked at cams (pipercross) 200+ and gives about 10 more bhp. Need to find someone who can fit them and how much that would cost.
Any suggestions for shocks and springs?

    Thanks

Just been on to TSR Performance and they quoted me 415 all in for Piper cam kit and new cam belt as its been over 5 years since my last one. Not too bad, just need to raid my penny jar and start counting:)

Thanks 4 the vote richard. Will post more pics next week when I go a bit more black.

Does anyone know of a good source for some smoked front fog clusters. I went to VW and they want 30 per side!

I would never of thought of this but it looks like the cheapest option. I will be getting my tape measure out tomorrow.

Does anyone know of someone on here that has used Lamin X? A pic or two would be good.

i used it on some lights but never actually fitted them, it was very easy to fit and looks like it would offer some good protection from stone chips etc
