Bought a troublesome b6

    Hi all,I've recently purchased a 2006 passat diesel.when I first drove it all was fine.started it up
    Today smoked quite a bit and then after a short run still smokes a bit but not as much as cold.
    Car is on 120k.think I may have bought a lemon.any ideas plz also I think it's not ticking over quite right.

    1st thing with these modern cars is get it plugged into diagnostics

    ok i try that first maybe the gasses might explain whats going on.

    What engine is in it?

    If it's the 2.0 diesel has it had the injector recall done?
