I'm trying to remember what brakes I fitted 20 years back?.

Seem to think they were Passat VR6 calipers, 288mm?.

I'm doing brake lines and would like to use off the shelf bits for the flexi section (PTFE AN-3 for the run up to the wheel well).

Does this look like a Passat VR6 flexi?, believe I need an AN-3 to M10x1.0 bulkhead adapter in this case?.

As said I'd like to buy a set of standard flexi hoses (future proofing really).

    Cheers for any input.

look the same mk3 golf 288mm calipers to me, mk3 flexi would probably do you fine as well as passat

few part nos/measurements to compare. sometimes see 2 measurements listed on manufactuer specs vs VW spec in etka so I include both, often is rubber hose length vs overall length including fittings:

    mk3 288mm - 1H0611701B - 465mm/500mm (M10F-M10x1.5B)
    Polo/Passat B4 VR6: 256mm - 6N0611701B - 377mm/396mm (M10F-M10x1.5B)
    5N0611775/5N0611775A/5N0611775B - 283mm (M10F-M10x1.5B)

I bought these in the end, the female end that connects to the rigid brake line is M10x1.0 (works well with my AN-3 to M10x1.0 bulkhead fittings).

    Caliper banjos are M10x1.5.

ok that one appears to be equivalent to 3A0611701, which is originally used on the B4 passat before superceeded by the 6N polo part number 6N0611701B :)

I'm still on 4 stud so had to re-drill the disks, ideally I'd like to find a set of 4 stud disks. There's some 20mm hubcentric spacers to go on hence longer studs.

Ended up running the lines as one piece from master Cylinder to calipers, need to sort a proper cable clamp for coilover upper (cable tie only temporary!).

The original brake lines must have been fairly close to driveshafts..

Front and back came out ok.

Thanks!, I'd like a set of 4 stud or blank disks for drilling really.

The 5 studs re-drilled haven't given any issues really, would just look neater (suppose you can't see it with the spacers on).
