I have bought some and I gather that they increase vibration a little, but not fitted them yet...

Have you got one fitted? And does it increase alot by just doing the rear?

    Cheers

I have front and rear bugpack engine mounts on my Mk1, and when it is idling, thanks to a lumpy Schrick 285 cam, it is horrid - really shakes your teeth out. But I figured if it stopped the engine rocking and breaking my exhaust again, I'd put up with it!

If the engine is balanced well it shouldnt be to bad. Passangers might moan a bit but they can walk if they dont like it.

You can still brake them if you try :).

Ive got 1 fitted and im well impressed with it.it does cause dash vibration at really low revs like 500rpm tickover but mine ticksover at 1000rpm and doesnt vibrate then :) I had to tap mine in with a hammer as its a tight fit

I bought the mount second hand but it looks mint. Would it be ripped n stuff if it was shot or do they just go soft? dont wanna fit this mount if its worn already u c. It looks mint though.

    Cheers

p.s how was it to do? and how did u do it?

    thanx again

Vibrates a lot, cuts down movement a lot!

But once your moving they are awesome - i found my gearshift improved no end due to everything not moving aroundl I also had a vibratechnics front mount though, hbut its' the solid bugpack one that seems to cut down most movement.

I've heard people say if you only uprate one mount it can stress it too much, and it's better to do the front and the rear if you can.
