Buying a MIG

    I agree about avoiding SIP. Total crap.

    However, they can be modified in a number of ways to make them better. At the weekend I'm going to install a second transformer in mine to provide a separate power supply for the wire feed motor. This is quite a popular modification on the SIP MIG welders and apparently makes an amazing difference. I've also replaced the liner with a metal one, and I've also done the metal brace modification to stop the cheap sh*tty plastic wire feed mechanism chassis from flexing.
