Buying a Web Name...

... how do you go about buying a web name that isnt taken?


Ive just typed it in to check and its a page error, therefore i presume its not taken, or can it be bought by a company and on holding?


How do i find out answers to these questions?

I use One & One they seem to be the cheapest(I've found in the UK) and I've never once had a problem with them.

Just because a page doesn't appear doesn't mean it's not taken, go to that link above and check. If you want to put a webpage up with that address you'll need somewhere to host it.

You can either go free to geocities(with stupid gay banners) or pay like 5 a month to get some paid space which is really handy.

im using dayana hosts. very cheap hosting and webname, im payin sumthin like 25 a year for hosting and name, very high bandwith, i never noticed my site go down yet.

i was saying use them to look up to see if the name is taken, cos its quiet easy lol
