well the engine kinda went, a valve fell and done alot of damage to the head and such aparently plus the carb was on its way out. i had a gti engine lined up but that car got nicked!

MrBen - shell did look mate, really nice paint job, a one off infact! but the chassis leg has been welded and the floor had a good few holes in it as well 1990 - too frecking right lol, the guy came to lift the car at 8am this morning and it was loud as hell, i had to take the exhaust off the car as well, as its a full s/s custom job. could only get the back box off!! rest is scrapped now G40 AL - cheers alan, i am going for a mk2 golf gti next, got one lined up , its got a star performance 2.0l8v with amd chip and a load of other stuff, and its red, really want a black 3 door 8v gti though! sicko2k - they where....

Bloody hell - I remember that I saw pics of that car on the old forum. I thought it was one of the nicest looking MK2's on there. Can't believe it is scrapped!
cheers for the comments guys, just bought my new car last night its a 1991 gti 8v 3 door in black(looks dark blue to me though! but says its black on the log book as well) it has clifford alarm/immob, electric, windows,sunroof,power steering! its also got some 5 spoke OZ alloys and lowered at the front but standard on the back so need to get that sorted out! brilliant car, drives well and looks sleek. well chuffed, can't wait to get my suspension sorted and the wheels powder coated black. pics up this week Edited by: Dave
