Thanks chaps! It's quite a tight track for cars especially round the esses! I very nearly dispenced a brown nugget when he first took me out! :-) There was a mk1 golf off here going around, I'll get some more pics up as I do them! Rich
Get `em up! That was the instructor as well! Leading them round on an initial warm up lap so no-one would `bin it on cold tyres`. He was only doing about 30-40mph as well, which made it doubly embarassing, along with nearly being run over by one of the lads I was there with (Big Fat Barry!)
he was obviously showing them how to crash safely...... or just crashed? he must be getting so much stick for that!!! lol.
Is that the first time you have been in the 200 on track Rich? Fantastic arent they. Even in standard form. Cant wait to get sticky tyres for mine too.
Yes... first time mate! Superb cars... tom went like mad around the esses and it just seemed to stick forever! Hes got yokohama track tyres, and from what i can gather they work very well! Yeah, Mike R has the A048R as well on his. I really really want to put some Silverstone FTZ Type RR on mine. The only thing holding mine back at Bedford i felt was some lateral adhesion. Road tyres are just that little bit too slidey for me, when the rest of the car just wants to hold on and the tread blocks are squirming around.
He did have some A048R on the Cup alloys. I think he has a few sets. Ah right, ad08s look pretty cheap. These are the FTZ Type RR. Come in the correct fitment at 125 per rim.
That`s Duncan Clarke`s (DClarke on here), as seen here and in the January(?) issue of PVW. Cracking shot!
