Can AirFlowMeter be fixed?

    I got problem with my Air Flow Meter, but it cost an arm & leg 284 +VAT....is there any way around it?
    Can I replace it with somthing else from another vehicle? :(

    well it depends what's wrong with it...

    if the heater element is broken or the temp sensor is cracked/busted you'll need a new unit...

    if it's not either of those you can try cleaning it carefully with alcohol or alike...

    Been there. Done that.. got the T.shirt ;)
    The VR air mass meter has a greater air flow than any other in the vw range, and basicly if it`s broke, you need to replace it.
    What os the fault? You aint running an induction kit with an oil type filter are you? If so dump the filter, as it will probably damage the new A.M.M [xx(]

    Yes I am running an induction kit, but the problem started sometime ago b4 I got the cone filter...
