Ive just stripped down a AAD engine with a view to putting it in my 1.8 8v, Q1 Is the AAD block compatible with a Digi head Q2 whilst removing the remnents of the head gasket with a dremel i noticed that the metal seemed quite soft and the sanding pad left not deep but noticable marks.Is the block Cast iron or alluminium ? Q3 Is there any way of checking if the bores are still good as there was a bit of rust in them? any other hepl would be appreciated. Edited by: Chazkayak
