Anybody on here "done" or "do" casinos? (not vegas) got hooked on holiday and need to hit the tables again, think something's being planned for the works xmas do what's your game of choice?
Never been and don't plan on ever going. Everyone to their own though but I'd rather spend my spare cash on my family or car than give it away to a casino.
Love playing cards, but Casino's aren't for me, been a few times, always found it very clinical and boring. Played some dealer version of Poker, won a few hands, lost a few, but without being able to mock my mates (and indeed be mocked myself) it was boring. Also all the stakes seemed very high, most of us came in with 100 each to have a play with and most were bust inside of half an hour, not even betting wildly, seems and expensive way to enjoy yourself. I much prefer a poker night as a friends house, couple of beers, come snacks and 10 a game no limited texas hold'em,
played a bit of roulette in Vegas just because I was there and put down no more than $10. I have no understanding of card games and find them dull when mates used to have poker nights, even if you were betting for money. But the whole idea of spending money like that for enjoyment doesn't do much for me either.
I'll have to test the atmosphere back here, but onboard all the croupiers were right characters, 10 of us round a roulette table, drinking having a right laugh, everyone inc the other punters were in good spirits, tbf though, we were all winning (beginners luck) so was a good craic
i like a good poker night and a few games of online blackjack (only game i stand a chance of winning )
Same feelings here and the casinos I went to where the ones in Cardiff, blew 100 in no time, played poker and found it quite scary in that environment, specially when it was my turn to shuffle! Much prefer the poker nights at home, 10 buy in, 1 extra buy in allowed, 2nd place gets a tenner, winner takes the rest. I do love gambling, fruitmachines can keep me entertained for hours.
Casinos: - Designed to relieve you of your money, while under the influence of alcohol, flashing lights and 'characters' who are pleased to see you. They also use attractive women to make you want to show off and bet more. - Run by gangsters - Wreck loads of lives. A tax on hope. They're right up there with illegal wheel clampers, paedos and drug dealers, in terms of who I want to hang out with. What's not to like?![:S]
Spammers being the least of them, probably. A person who isn't just starting is probably going to have more though. Makes me sick.
